The New Agents Committee (NAC) was set up by the Drug Development Office (DDO) in 1998 to provide a one-step process for selecting new anti-cancer treatments and diagnostics and taking them into early clinical trials.
The NAC will consider proposals from individuals based in academic institutions and industry collaborators for:
- the late stage preclinical development of a novel agent for clinical trial; and/or
- the testing of a novel agent in mechanistic/Phase I clinical trial; and/or
the testing of a novel agent in early Phase II clinical trial.
All submissions to and meetings of the NAC are confidential.
