Cancer Research UK provides personal funding through these four streams:
- Fellowships
We offer a range of awards to provide the salary and research support for clinical and non-clinical researchers. There are also a number of specialist fellowships, including several in the areas of population and behavioural research. - PhD Studentships
This section contains information about how supervisors can apply to Cancer Research UK for funds for studentships. In addition, students can find information about the current studentship posts and training programmes on offer at our institutes and in universities across the UK. - Masters courses
We will provide support for individuals who want to undertake certain Masters or Diploma course. There are also details of several Cancer Research UK supported-Masters courses across the UK which offer bursaries to students. - China Fellows Programme
This annual competitive scheme enables outstanding young Chinese postdoctoral researchers to obtain a further three years of postdoctoral training in leading cancer research centres in the UK. - Other bursaries
This section contains information about a number of other funding opportunities for cancer researchers, including support for attending cancer-relevant workshops and grants for clinicians who want to undertake short-term research projects.
