The Cancer Research UK Nursing Research Training Fellowship is intended to support nurses who wish to undertake a period of full or part-time training in a cancer relevant research field, leading to the presentation of a PhD.Cancer Research UK only considers applications that are cancer orientated and contain a definite research focus.
Applicants will be considered on the basis of their academic achievements and potential; the appeal and scientific merit of the research project; the research environment provided by the sponsoring department, and the availability of supporting expertise and resources
Eligibility
All applicants should be nurses registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold a good first degree.
Previous research experience or further qualifications, for example a Masters degree or training in research methods, would be an advantage.
Applicants may be of any nationality but must have been resident and working in the European Economic Area (EEA) for three years immediately before application and intend to pursue a career in the UK.
Location
These Fellowships are tenable throughout the UK in Cancer Research UK or other academic or medical departments.
