Cancer Research UK wishes to encourage training in cancer relevant biology, chemistry and cancer care. We also wish to support cancer researchers undertaking transdisciplinary courses leading to qualifications in bioinformatics, computational biology, mathematical biology and other disciplines where there is a clear indication that this training will be used in a cancer relevant area. Cancer Research UK provides bursaries for students to study for Masters and Diploma courses in these areas. There are two routes to obtaining a bursary.
- If you already have a place on a relevant course, you can apply directly to Cancer Research UK for a bursary to support your fees and a contribution to living expenses. Please see MSc/Diploma Bursaries in the Other Bursaries section for application details.
- Cancer Research UK supports a number of cancer-relevant Masters courses in a range of disciplines at universities across the UK. Each course will have bursaries available for students who intend to pursue a career in cancer research. The courses listed above are currently inviting applications for students to start in autumn 2008. Please select the appropriate link from the list above for more information about each course.
