Note: changes to Cancer Research UK PhD Studentships
Cancer Research UK introduced a new policy in October 2008 where studentships are only offered through the Cancer Research UK Cancer Centres initiative. Only two studentships are exempt from this policy, i.e., studentships in Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pathology (see links above).
The introduction of this policy affects all supervisors and potential students seeking funding for studentships. The Centres will have a non-clinical training account to support studentships; Cancer Research UK will therefore no longer run an annual competitive studentship scheme.
