Cell Services has been supplying cell lines to the London Research Institute and all other Cancer Research UK units for many years. We have an extensive catalogue of established, authenticated cell lines available to all Cancer Research UK funded scientists.All cell lines undergo routine quality control which includes mycoplasma detection, DNA fingerprinting and iso-enzyme analysis to verify species. We have recently incorporated STR Profiling for authentication of our human cell lines. These areas are constantly researched so that we can continually improve our methods.
If you would like to order any cell lines, there is a request form available from the service. We can supply cells as frozen vials, growing culture or frozen pellets. Please specify this on the order form and we will provide you with your requirements for the date you request. Products are shipped according to stock availability and you will be advised of the recommended media and best growing conditions for the cells. There is a charge per flask/vial for each cell line. We can also supply Genomic DNA from our cell lines.
