Share your research with our supporters
Our life-saving work is only possible thanks to the ongoing commitment and generosity of our supporters - we receive no government funding for research.
In 2010 - 2011 we spent £332 million on cancer research activities carried out in institutes, hospitals and universities throughout the UK.
It is important that we inform people about what we are doing with their donations and that we thank them for their commitment to the charity. Hearing from our world class scientists can do exactly that, helping to motivate our supporters and bring them closer to our work. It can inspire new donors to give. It can also be incredibly rewarding for researchers to explain their work to the people who make the funding possible.
Are you a Cancer Research UK funded researcher or do you work in one of our labs? Are you interested in giving a talk in lay terms about your work, showing supporters around your lab or attending local events to meet with supporters? If so then please let us know using the Speaker registration form.
We will always check your availability with you first. We have a lot of useful information on our News & Resources website. We can also provide various materials, support and advice on how to pitch your research to a lay audience and answers to the type of questions you may get asked.
