Research Goals
Chromatin is a key regulator of gene transcription, DNA replication and repair. Dysregulation of these processes often leads to cancer. We will investigate how three mechanisms of altering chromatin structure: ATP-dependent chromatin remodelling, post-translational histone modification, and histone variant incorporation cooperate to regulate gene expression in a Drosophila cancer model.
