Research Goals
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), a herpesvirus with B cell growth transforming properties, is aetiologically linked to endemic Burkitt's lymphoma (BL). Our primary aim is to understand the virus' contribution to the pathogenesis of BL by probing the relationship between virus gene expression, cellular oncogene status and cellular phenotype.
