The use and development of Magnetic Resonance methods for understanding the biology of cancer and the determination of tumour-associated MR parameters for diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring of therapy.

1986-2006 - Director, Cancer Research UK Biomedical Magnetic Resonance Research Group (1986-2006).

Editor-in-Chief of NMR in Biomedicine (the leading specialist MRI/MRS research journal).

Joined Cambridge Research Institute in summer 2006.
