Research Goals
To integrate and optimise the pre-clinical development and "science-led" clinical application of novel therapies, including "first into man" (phase I) and associated studies.

To provide laboratory support for clinical trials of new anti-cancer drugs organised through both Cancer Research UK and international co-operative groups (e.g. EORTC).

1990 - DM, University of Southampton
Postdoctoral work at Universities of Maryland, Glasgow and Edinburgh
2006 - Appointed Chair in Cancer Therapeutics, University of Edinburgh
2008 - Joined the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Research Institute and the University of Cambridge
