Research Goals
Basic studies on the regulation of the p53 tumour suppressor protein designed to discover new targets for therapeutic intervention in the treatment of cancers that have either normal or mutant p53. Translational studies to use the p53 pathway to discover new anti-cancer treatments, predictors of clinical response to drugs and radiation and diagnostic tests.
