Research Goals
Finding novel ways to specifically destroy tumour cells could lead to improved cancer treatments. We have detected a gene that specifically induces the cellular suicide programme in cancer cells and is inactive in normal cells. With this application, we will further investigate the activity of this gene against tumour cells.
