The Cancer Research UK London Research Institute houses almost 50 research groups based at two locations: Lincoln's Inn Fields Laboratories in central London, and Clare Hall Laboratories on London's outskirts at South Mimms, Hertfordshire.
The Lincoln's Inn Fields and Clare Hall Laboratories have an international reputation in the basic biology of cancer. At Lincoln's Inn Fields, the emphasis is on signal transduction, with major interests in studies on the cell cycle and checkpoint controls, molecular cell biology, growth factors, gene transcription, immunology, stem cells and cell-cell interactions. At Clare Hall the emphasis is on DNA replication, damage and repair.
