Research Goals
To understand how RNA polymerase II transcriptional elongation affects genome integrity by interfering with DNA-related processes such as chromatin remodelling and DNA repair.

PhD 1993 Aarhus University, Denmark.
Postdoctoral work at Stanford University, USA.
Joined Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now known as Cancer Research UK) in 1996
Elected Fellow of the Royal Society in May 2009.
