Research Goals
- To define the mechanisms required for the maintenance of genome integrity in eukaryotic cells.
- To understand the molecular basis for cancer predisposition in Bloom's syndrome and other chromosomal instability disorders in man.
- To translate laboratory findings into improvements in conventional cancer treatments, or into the development of novel therapies.

PhD 1982 ICI plc and Newcastle University.
Postdoctoral work at Newcastle University.
Head of Cancer Research UK Laboratory since 1989.
