Scientific summary

Ligands for NKG2D, a potent activating receptor on immune effector cells, are upregulated on tumours. Professor Trowsdale and his group have developed specific antibodies to some NKG2D ligands discovered in our laboratory. They are using these reagents to examine the relationship of NKG2D ligands, including soluble versions, to cancer.
