Professor Will Steward is head of an internationally respected team of researchers based at the University of Leicester. He is finding out if chemicals found in everyday foods could be used to help prevent cancer.

A major focus of Professor Steward and his team's Cancer Research UK funded research in Leicester involves Chemoprevention - utilising chronically administered agents to prevent, reverse or delay one or more of the steps of carcinogenesis.
