Barry Thompson, PhD - Group Leader barry.thompson@cancer.org.uk Originally from Australia, Barry received his PhD from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge. His post-doctoral work was carried out at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg and the Research Institute for Molecular Pathology (IMP) in Vienna. Barry has been head of the Epithelial Biology Laboratory since April 2007.
Ruth Brain - Scientific Officer ruth.brain@cancer.org.uk Ruth has over 20 years experience working in molecular biology laboratories. Ruth has previously worked at the Marie Curie Research Institute in Oxsted, UK, and at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, USA.
Georgina Fletcher, PhD - Postdoctoral Fellow georgina.fletcher@cancer.org.uk Georgina received her PhD from Kings College London where she studied cell migration. Georgina then became a postdoc in Pernille Rorth's lab at EMBL, Heidelberg, where she studied the role of the microtubule regulator Stathmin in Drosophila. Georgina is now carrying out a genetic screen for regulators of cell shape and polarity.
Clara Sidor - PhD Student clara.sidor@cancer.org.uk Clara completed her undergraduate degree in Paris and is now enrolled in the LRI PhD Programme. Clara is currently carrying out a genetic screen in the Drosophila wing for genes regulating tissue growth.
