Trio of researchers working at a computerCancer Research UK is committed to developing the next generation of leaders in cancer research. If you have a strong track record of research and are aiming to become a leader in your field, then our funding schemes and career opportunities can help you achieve your goals. We welcome applications from anyone whose research is relevant to understanding, preventing, diagnosing or treating cancer.

This scheme provides six years' research support and salaries for outstanding scientists or clinicians with six to twelve years' postdoctoral research experience who wish to develop a research group.

Our five Institutes regularly recruit new Junior Group Leaders in a range of different research fields. The position typically provides funding for your salary and a small start-up package including laboratory support for five to seven years.
